Libraries Announcements – 12/15/25

What’s News This Week

Saying Goodbye to Nick Baldwin and Anne Marie Rogers

From an email from Elias Tzoc on 12/9/25:

Dear library colleagues,

Nick Baldwin, Library Specialist and Technology Lending Coordinator in User Services, will soon be leaving Clemson Libraries to begin an exciting new personal and professional chapter in California. His last day with the Libraries will be Friday, December 19.

Nick first joined Clemson Libraries as a student employee in Stacks Maintenance.  In 2017, he transitioned to a full-time position on the Security Team. Over the years, Nick played a key role in re-envisioning or establishing key services, including Technology Lending and what was formerly known as the Scholars’ Lab. During his time in the lab, he supervised a team of student assistants and initiated a valuable partnership with the Graduate School.

This year, Nick was also part of the inaugural Library Leadership Development Program.  His passion for data analysis contributed to important projects and reports, collaborating with Fredda and others using tools such as Microsoft Excel, Primo, and other applications.

Please join us in thanking Nick for his many contributions to Clemson Libraries. We wish him ALL THE BEST as he embarks on this new adventure in sunny California!

From an email from Mark Krystofik on 12/10/25:

Dear Colleagues,

Anne Marie Rogers will be leaving the Watt Family Innovation Center on January 2, 2026. Anne Marie started her role as Research Associate-Education Systems in August of 2023, but she has been a Clemson University employee since October of 2016. Many may recall that Anne Marie played a key role in the adoption and implementation of online learning technologies used campus-wide during the COVID era.  Anne Marie has made significant contributions to the Watt Center, and she has championed learning technologies throughout her time here at Clemson University.  Anne Marie has a very outgoing and welcoming personality, which has helped put people at ease when implementing learning technology systems and resources. She also stepped up and took on additional duties at the Watt Center to coordinate and oversee events for six months.

I will greatly miss working with Anne Marie, and I know her decision to resign from her role at the Watt Center was a result of circumstances outside of her control.

Happy Birthday to You!

We are proud to recognize and celebrate the dedicated service of our colleagues who have reached milestones in their Clemson University Libraries careers.

Please note that these announcements going forward reflect Libraries service time only. The University formally acknowledges total state service through the distribution of pins and certificates. Individuals in the South Carolina Retirement System (SCRS) who have questions about their service time toward retirement should reference their Member Access account. Those enrolled in an Optional Retirement Program (ORP) should consult their selected vendor for retirement information.

Please be aware that calculating total University service time involves individualized research and may include factors such as temporary versus full-time status, student employment, and other considerations. For these reasons, we are focusing our recognition on Libraries-specific service time.

Thank you so much for all the talent and expertise that you bring to the Libraries! We appreciate all you do!
