Description
A Faculty Governance Committee will maintain oversight of faculty governance documents, namely, the Bylaws and Guidelines. The committee will keep these documents in compliance with the Faculty Manual, and oversee the revision process, proposing changes to the Faculty or reviewing proposals from the faculty at large.
Membership
The committee shall be composed of three regular faculty of any rank elected by all ranks of the Library Faculty serving staggered three-year terms. Committee members shall not succeed themselves but may be elected to serve any numbers of times. A member becomes chair for a year in the second year of service. The Library Chair will serve in an advisory capacity and the Lead Faculty Senator shall serve in an ex officio capacity with (an)other Faculty Senator(s) serving as needed in absence of the Lead Senator.
