Charge
The Libraries Council serves as a forum for communicating information, discussing and reviewing Libraries-wide initiatives, and participating in the development of Libraries-wide policies and plans.
Goals:
- Facilitate communication and to provide an opportunity for feedback.
- Members bring pertinent information to the Council about new policies, initiatives, or decisions from other groups and Libraries units. Likewise, members report decisions, plans, or policies from the Council to their respective units.
- Reviews and make recommendations on issues that impact the Libraries as identified by the Dean of Libraries, the Libraries Cabinet, Libraries committees, and others.
- Serve as a sounding board for new initiatives or opportunities presented to the Libraries
- Contribute to the ongoing development, review, and implementation of the Libraries’ strategic plan and the Libraries’ Inclusion Excellence Plan.
