Clemson University Libraries celebrates and honors student employees upon their graduation from Clemson by placing a bookplate in a book of their choosing from our collection. This bookplate is a small token of thanks for the years of service our student employees give the Libraries and a symbol of this milestone in their lives.
For students who are interested in having a book plated in their honor, the supervisor should fill out the form below. Students must be working with the Libraries at the time of their graduation.
Bookplate Process
- Kellie emails student supervisors to submit any students they have who are graduating in the near future by filling out the form on StaffWeb.
- The student(s)’ supervisor submits the information on StaffWeb.
- A notification is sent to Fredda Owens and Kellie Marlatt. Circulations pulls the book, Kellie Marlatt creates the bookplate(s), and takes it/them to Fredda along with the student gift.
- The student supervisor obtains the book from Fredda once the bookplate has been attached then takes a photo of the student with the book he/she selected and emails the photo to Kellie who publicize it appropriately.
- The book is returned to the shelves.
